it's been a while

so...as you probably have noticed, i haven't made a post for a while. there are a couple reasons for this.
first. my computer hates me and everything that i love (this includes Jesus). i sat down to get on the computer today and it already had a request to send error report thing...i hadn't even done anything yet except sit down. i feel as though it was a bit of a bad omen. so i have decided to save up for a mac book. those who really know me are laughing right now because i have hard enough time to save up for a tank of gas. but i have decided this is neccessary. the computer i have now is about 5-6 years old and is pounding on deaths door. so my mother got a lap top for herself and is giving me her old computer. which is old as well and is waiting in line behind my computer for a chance to see old mr. death. all this to say, sometimes i just don't want to deal with computer shenanighans.
second. did i mention i was going back to school. i have found that between a 10hr school week and a 45-50 hr work week there is not much time for much else. i am even going 2 days in between times i check my facebook (gasp). my mafia is suffering because of my schoolastic endevours.
thusly, i studied a bit (very bit) yesterday, and today i will be studying ALOT. i just finished with an amazing nap and i am ready...maybe. we will see.

A murphy's law type of day

Is anybody familar with the term murphy's law. Basically it states that anything that can go wrong will. My day started with me being just a bit late to work. And while at work I got ketchup all over my white shirt. You may the thinking to yourself...why is she wearing a white shirt if she works in the kitchen taking out trash and washing dishes. Well, this new company we are working for requires us to wear white polos everyday...logical??? So, now my shirt looks like I was wearing it while getting stabbed in the gut. Very beautiful. Then, in the afterschool program, I had two children who I never want on the same day. These kids...woo these kids. Out of the 10 children I might have on any given day there are only 2 that give me real problems. They both came today...glorious. I had to leave work early because I have introduction to biology on tues. and thurs. I did not estimate the time correctly and was just a bit late to that as well. Then we took about a million pages of notes. I then went to go get my book and found out that the bookstores are only open when i am at work...grand. So in order to get my books I have to be late to work tomorrow. SOOO...needless to say, I am very excited about taking a shower and washing this day off of me and starting anew tomorrow. It will be a better day. I am sure of it. Thanks for listening to my complaining. It's not always like this. I promise. :)

i am fairly certain my computer hates me and wants me to fail at life

So, as many of you don't know, I have gone back to school after taking a short break. And by short break i mean about 3 years. I had basically dropped out of college with hopes that I would get married and become a mother with no need to have a degree. That has so far failed. So here I am going back to school, basically as a freshman, and 23 years old. I have made myself the promise that i will stay focused this time and do the best i can to get back the bit of scholarship i lost when i went insane and stopped my schooling. Thusly, I am trying very hard to stay on top of all my work. Today was my first day back. I am taking two classes on campus and one online. My first class (english) went great. When I come home and decide to go ahead and print notes out for my online class (introduction to sociology), my computer decides it will let me access every single bit of information about this class EXCEPT the notes. Really....really. What good will it do me to take the quizzes if i can't even study. In light of all this, I have decided that my computer hates me and wants to see me fall down into a spiraling staircase of doom. It is trying to protect itself. If I don't ever get my degree, I can never get a better job to get the money to purchase a new computer that loves me.
But whatever. A bit of better news. I met the new science teacher at the school I work at. She is amazing. We were about 10 minutes into the most hilarious conversation before we realized we hadn't introduced ourselves to each other. I have the feeling we will be having the most redonkulous interactions throughout the year. I can't wait. :D

first blog ever!!!

So. This weekend I was in my friends wedding. We had what we called "the bridal party camp." All of us who were in the wedding, plus a couple others here and there, spent about four days together in a cabin in the woods. While we were sitting around, watching beauty and the beast, and punching wholes in a billion wedding programs, I was scolded for not having a blog. So I have thusly decided to try my hand at this blogging thing.
I would like to point out to everyone that while you read these I will point out that I do not have great grammar skills. Nor do I have great spelling skills. So, that being stated. While reading my posts you might come across some things that make absolutely no sense...it is not you...it is definitely me. Don't judge. Just know that you are smarter than me and let that help you get through your day. :) I would also like to say that if I ever say anything that offends anybody...get over it. It is not personal. It is my opinion. I still love you even if we don't agree on everything.
All that being said...I hope everyone who reads this blog finds it enjoyable (and maybe sometimes inspiring). And I not promising that I will get to this thing everyday. But we will see how it all goes.
